The Origin

How Grind started

It started with brain fog and a forgotten coffee order. Sambhav, our founder, was running on empty — not because good coffee didn't exist in Bangalore, but because getting it delivered fast felt impossible. He was maintaining a Notion tracker just to remember when to reorder. He'd still forget. And when he did order, it took days.

"Why does specialty coffee — something I need every single day — have to feel like planning a vacation?"

The existing options were either too slow, too generic, or both. Specialty coffee — the kind that actually has a story behind the bean — was treated like a slow-moving luxury product when it didn't have to be.

So Sambhav built Grind. The idea was simple: treat specialty coffee the way you'd treat any other essential. Make it fast. Keep it good. Don't make people think about it — just get it to them.

What started as a personal frustration is now a quick commerce platform serving coffee lovers across all of Bangalore. Every order is a small proof that the wait wasn't worth it.

Sambhav is a student at Jain University — studying entrepreneurship by day and building Grind the rest of the time. He calls himself a student of life more than anything else: someone who runs toward problems that annoy him and builds until they don't.

Grind is his answer to a problem he lived every single day. He's also the kind of founder who will text you if the coffee was bad.
